Percys Scenic Reserve, accessed from the State Highway 2 Maungaraki Interchange, is a haven away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There are plenty of picnic spots, a duckpond with very extremely friendly ducks, bush walks, and an aviary. The waterfall walk is not always easy going, but well worth the trek!

Belmont Regional Park, with access off Oakleigh Street, is a very popular spot with a number of excellent walking and mountain bike tracks, through attractive native bush. Further details about the park can be obtained from the Wellington Regional Council website.
