Hi there

My name is Daryl.  I’m the pastor of Maungaraki Baptist Church.  My wife and I and our 3 children arrived here in January 07 from Tauranga.

This church is a bunch of ordinary, down to earth, friendly people.  We want to be a church in the community and for the community.  We want to meet people, listen to people and care about people.  We want to help people grow in their own spiritual journey where ever they are at.  We love to help people meet Jesus and get to know Him. 

We meet together at 10am on Sunday mornings in the auditorium opposite the shops.  During this time we do a range of things often including singing, interviews about life and faith, a talk based around the bible, prayer, coffee and chat. 

We have a programme for pre-schoolers that includes music, morning tea, bible stories, art...etc

We have a cool kids programme called Kidzone!  (yr1 to yr8) They cruise out to their thing at 10.30 and do heaps of fun stuff to help them get to know Jesus better, like games, art, bible stories, singing.

We have a small youth group for teenagers that meet on Friday evenings.  Sometimes they go and join with other youth groups in the Hutt
